Dr. Nicole J. Markovich has joined SalusCare, Inc., as a psychiatrist in children’s outpatient services.
Dr. Markovich will see patients with appointments at the Ortiz Campus at 2789 Ortiz Ave. in Fort Myers. Dr. Markovich is part of SalusCare’s expansion of children’s outpatient behavioral health treatment, enabling the non-profit to treat more children and adolescents and reduce wait times for appointments.
She is a graduate of the University of Miami, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree Cum Laude in environmental health science and received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Georgia campus of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwannee, Ga.
This was followed by post-graduate training in psychiatry at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – School of Osteopathic Medicine/Rowan University in Stratford, N.J.
Dr. Markovich also has earned certifications in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support.
