SalusCare Elects Officers for 2014-15

SalusCare, Inc., has elected officers for 2014-15.  

They are:

●          Chairman – Marshall T. Bower, Esq., The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools, Inc.;

●          Vice Chair – Larry Hart, Lee County Tax Collector;

●          Secretary – William Keyes, attorney at law;

●          Treasurer – Ed Kleinow, retired information system manager.

Other members of the board of directors are Sue Ackert, retired banker; Mark S. Atkins, Lee Memorial Health System; Dena Geraghty, R.N., Lee County Dependency & Juvenile Drug Court; Dr. Judith Hartner, Lee County Health Department; Scot T. Goldberg, Esq., attorney at law, Goldberg, Racila, D’Alessandro & Noone, LLC; Dr. Madelyn Isaacs, Florida Gulf Coast University; Jim Reilly, self-employed; and Geoffrey Roepstorff, Edison National Bank.

“This group’s diverse experience and knowledge will help guide SalusCare’s activities as a critical part of the healthcare system, focusing on the treatment and prevention of mental health and substance use disorders,” said SalusCare CEO Kevin B. Lewis.

 

About SalusCare, Inc.

SalusCare, Inc., is the largest, most comprehensive mental health and substance abuse treatment program in Southwest Florida, serving 17,000 people per year from seven locations in Lee County and two in Hendry County.   The non-profit organization offers outpatient and residential treatment for adults and adolescents, detoxification services for adults, prevention programming and an Employee Assistance Program for about 50 area companies. The majority of programs are accredited by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

SalusCare services are not free.  Fees are charged on a sliding scale, based on family income.  In many cases, private insurance is accepted.  SalusCare is a United Way agency.
